The Curse of Frankenstein by Kenpudiosaki The Curse of Frankenstein by Kenpudiosaki
It's Hammer time!! Some of my friends and I have a movie hang out night and we just finished watching all the Hammer Frankenstein flicks starring Peter Cushing a few weeks ago. So, for a late Halloween picture I used the first film in the series as inspiration: The Curse of Frankenstein starring Peter Cushing as Frankenstein and Christopher Lee as the Monster. I'm mostly pleased with how the likeness of Cushing and Lee turned out, they could be a tad better but oh well...

Seriously creepy work! Are all the Hammer Frankenstein movies on DVD/blu-ray? I've heard that the dracula and frankenstein flicks are all collected in box sets or something, just not sure which ones lol

Thanks!  I know they are on DVD and there's not much on Blu.  I've seen a few collections out there but most seem to be variants on a few of the 'Dracula' flicks.  As for definitive collections I honestly don't think there is one.  Closest would be   'The Ultimate Hammer Collection' but if you're not living in the UK, you need a region free player to view it.   Even then it doesn't have all the 'Dracula' and 'Frankenstein' flicks.  So it's a scavenger hunt.

It's just one of those things, wasn't meant to look like Sly but it did anyways. :D

I liked that movie. Or at least, I liked Peter Cushing in it. Very weird. But fun.

Yeah, its strange to see a Frankenstein film so focused on Frankenstein and not so much on the monster.

Love the comic book style of your work. Love all the old Hammer stuff. May seem cheesey now but still got soul. Looking at your work makes me think that they could work really well as animated movies.

Lee looks great. Cushing could look more like Cushing but this is still a wonderful piece. The Curse of Frankenstein is one of the best Hammer films and also one of the best Frankenstein films.

Thats pretty cool! I love seeing the classic films interpreted in a more recent style..its like theres hope for these things to not completely die out.

No one has surpassed Peter Cushing as Victor Frankenstein (or Van Helsing for that matter).

Once again Nice Job!!

I love this movie. First of Hammer's great classics, with a brilliant performance by Peter Cushing, who made his Baron Frankenstein a far evil person than any of the monsters he made. Great pic!

Thanks. No, it's not ol' Sly it just happened to look like him unintentionally. In the movie the monster was portrayed by Christopher Lee. But since the movie is so old finding references was kind of difficult so with the few bad ones I did find, I had I to basically wing it. Hence the look of accedental Sly.

I pretty sure it wasn't, the movie was made in 1957 they didn't have that kind of FX power back then.

I think the most recent version of Frankenstein I saw last was the one with DeNiro, but I'll hunt the one your talking about down.
